St. Mary’s Pastoral Care has been an active means of outreach for many years to our community of parishioners who are unable to attend church either temporarily or long term because of illness or other difficulties. With a variety of needs such as food, transportation and notes and phone calls, we are blessed with many gifted parishioners who can step in at a moment’s notice. We are also supported by Eucharistic Visitors who are trained to take home communions on a weekly basis. We work alongside the clergy and provide support for them as we respond to a variety of requests.

The Pastoral Care Committee also sponsors occasional adult education speakers who inform us about home care, moving and transitional concerns, training to be a friendly visitor and other topics to help us understand our role and the concerns of those who are alone or in need of specialized help.

Nursing Home Ministry - every 4th Sunday - Golden Gate Healthcare Center, 2707 Pine Street, at 1:30 PM

Communion Service is offered to residents at The Presidio Gate every 2nd and 4th Monday at 11am.
