Summer Choir Begins Sunday, June 9, 2013 9:00 AM Rehearsal in the Choir Room Did you sing in high school or college and find you sometimes miss singing in a choir? The Summer Choir is an opportunity for singers in the parish who enjoy singing, but might not be able to commit to a separate rehearsal each week during the year, to participate more fully in our Eucharist. The Summer Choir rehearses only on Sundays before the 10:00 a.m. Eucharist, learning a simple anthem, and reviewing hymns and other music for the liturgy. Summer choir is open to all members of the parish, in addition to members of the Youth and Parish Choirs. Parish Choir
The Parish Choir is open to singers from high school through adulthood who read music or can learn it quickly.The Parish Choir sings at the 11:00 AM service and participates in several special services and concerts throughout the year.
Rehearsals run from 7:00 - 9:00 PM Thursday evenings.

Youth Choir Youth Choir is open to singers grades 4 through 8 and they sing at the 9:00 AM service. Emphasis is on continuing to learn to read music primarily through choral music.
Rehearse on Wednesdays at 4:00 - 5:15 PM. Sing each week at the 9:00 AM service during the scholastic year.

Children’s Choir Children in kindergarten through third grade sing in the Children's Choir which emphasizes vocal and religious training, church liturgy, and how to participate appropriately.

An interview with Hilda Jonas -- Harpsichordist, Pianist, Performer, Teacher by Glen Frank After a career spanning more than fifty years, Mrs. Jonas has donated her beloved 1937 Walter Ebeloe harpsichord to the Episcopal Church of St. Mary the Virgin in San Francisco. A student of the great Wanda Landowska in Paris in 1934, she also studied piano with pianist Rudolf Serkin in Switzerland. Hilda followed her dreams and found success in the face of many obstacles.
