Episcopal Impact Fund

The Diocese of California’s Episcopal Impact Fund (EIF) has granted $6,500 to St. Mary’s in support of two social justice programs. $1,500 will be used by our Food Ministry team to support a series of meals for the homeless in San Francisco during the winter. In partnership with our neighboring church of St. Vincent de Paul, St. Mary’s has been participating for several years in this critical Winter Shelter Dinner Ministry, which sponsored by San Francisco Interfaith Council. To join us in feeding the hungry and the homeless, contact Deacon Tim Smith through the church office.
EIF also has granted $5,000 to our Justice Ministries’ migrant accompaniment work through the Nueva Esperanza Accompaniment Team (NEAT) partnership with Congregation Sherith Israel. This follows a $5,000 EIF grant in 2020, which the NEAT has used over the past two years in accompanying thirteen people who are seeking asylum in the United States after fleeing their homes in Afghanistan, Argentina, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Ukraine, and Venezuela.
St. Mary’s is deeply grateful for the work and support of Episcopal Impact Fund and encourages our parishioners to support its annual fundraiser, Night of Light, on November 11th. Click here for more information.
