Know Your Rights: Protecting Migrants in Times of Peril, Sunday, February 16
February 16

“I was a stranger and you welcomed me.” (Matthew, 25:35.)
Holy Scripture is both consistent and persistent. We are admonished over and over again to welcome the stranger among us.
Join us in Fowler Hall between the 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. services on Sunday, February 16, to learn how the Episcopal Church is responding to the current threats to our neighbors and how we at St. Mary’s can respond.
Our Nueva Esperanza Accompaniment Team (NEAT) will share information on the Episcopal Church’s positions and actions and will introduce information and tools that we can use and share to protect those who may be threatened. “Know Your Rights” training will specifically address constitutional and legal protections for people when confronted with the potential of detention and/or deportation.
You may prepare in advance by clicking this know your rights link.
Please join us on February 16th to continue living Christ’s love into our hurting world.
