Bach's St. John Passion
St.
Mary's Parish Choir & Chamber Orchestra, along with the Schola
Cantorum of St. Dominic's Catholic Church, come together to perform
Bach's monumental Passion According to St. John. This
work invites the listener into the narrative of Christ's arrest, trial,
and crucifixion. While this work has found a comfortable home in the
concert hall as one of the great oratorios in our repertoire, we will be
performing it in the spirit of its original context: in the vernacular,
and with congregational singing. Please join us on Sunday, 10 March at 5:00 p.m.
