Community and Justice

A committed group of St. Mary's parishioners has come together to live our Christian call to justice. Justice goes beyond charity to address the systems that cause and support injustice. It invites us to recognize the incarnate Christ in everyone and to actively live our Baptismal covenant by striving for justice and peace among all people and by respecting the dignity of every human being.

Rise Against Hunger

We host annual meal-packaging events to help address food insecurity in communities around the world.

The Gubbio Project

Providing sacred space and wraparound services for unhoused neighbors in San Francisco's Mission District, based at St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church.

SF Interfaith Winter Shelter

Each winter, St. Mary's volunteers cook, serve, and host at the annual interfaith winter shelter, welcoming up to 80 guests.

Hope Beyond

Supporting women who are incarcerated in and being released from California state prisons.

NEAT Migration Ministries

In partnership with Temple Sherith Israel, we accompany migrants navigating a complex and often difficult path to stability in San Francisco.

Sunset Youth Services

Fostering long-term stability and growth for systems-impacted youth, young adults, and families through caring relationships and supportive services.
