Plan Your Visit

Not at all. There are no membership requirements to walk through the door, receive a warm welcome, or participate in worship. Many people worship with us for weeks or months before deciding if St. Mary's is their church home. Come as you are, as often as you like.

Children are welcome at all services. During the 9:00 a.m. service, age-appropriate Sunday School programming runs for children and youth. Babies and toddlers are always welcome in the pews. If you need a quiet moment, just step out and back in as needed.

Whatever is comfortable. You will see everything from jeans to Sunday best. We care far more about your presence than your outfit.

The Episcopal Church practices an open table. All baptized Christians are welcome to receive the Eucharist, regardless of denomination. If you are not baptized or prefer not to receive, you are warmly invited to come forward for a blessing instead. Simply cross your arms over your chest and the priest will offer a blessing.

St. Mary's follows the liturgical tradition of the Episcopal Church. A typical Sunday service includes scripture readings, a psalm, a sermon, prayers, and the celebration of the Eucharist. Service music is led by our choir. The whole service is printed in the bulletin, so you can follow along easily even if it is your first time.

No. You are welcome to simply observe. The congregation does participate in responsive readings and prayers, all of which are printed in the bulletin. There is no pressure to participate in anything before you are ready.

Street parking is available in the surrounding Cow Hollow neighborhood. We recommend arriving a few minutes early on Sundays, especially for the 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. services.
