This year marks the 60th anniversary of the remarkable mural of the events of St. Mary's life in our front courtyard, created in 1966 by renowned fresco artists Lucienne Bloch and Stephen Dimitroff.
On Sunday, October 18, at the 10:00 hour, we’ll celebrate this extraordinary work of art and its recent restoration. We’ll be joined by Lucienne Allen, granddaughter of the mural’s creators, and Samantha Emmanuel, an eminent wall-art conservator, who will help us explore the mural’s history, artistry, and restoration.
Come celebrate this milestone and discover more about a beloved part of St. Mary’s—and an important work of San Francisco public art!
