For centuries, Christians have laid the dead to rest within the walls of the church. St. Mary's continues that tradition through our outdoor Columbarium, a peaceful and unique ministry in a city with few outdoor resting places.

The St. Mary's Columbarium, dedicated in 2007, is located in the Mary Meditation Garden behind the church. It offers a tranquil space for remembrance and prayer.

About the Space

Designed by parishioner Bruce Prescott, AIA, the Columbarium was dedicated in 2007 as part of the Mary Meditation Garden. It contains 145 niches, each sized to hold up to two urns, and sits alongside a statue of Mary and her child and a bench for prayer and reflection.

Eligibility

Niches are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are reserved for longstanding parishioners who are current members in good standing. Subscribers receive a permanent use permit rather than ownership of their niche.
