Originally from San Diego and the son and grandson of Episcopal priests, Matt was literally raised in the church. After heading back east for college, Matt moved to San Francisco in 2005 and began attending St. Mary’s shortly thereafter. Matt was drawn to St. Mary’s by its intellectual yet grounded preaching, its music, its fellowship, and its commitment to our rich Anglican liturgy. Additionally, Matt was drawn to St. Mary’s because of the large number of young families attending Sunday services.
Matt and his wife Jamie were married at St. Mary’s in 2010 and live in Alameda with their two daughters, Abigail and Edith, both of whom were baptized at St. Mary’s.
To keep the lights on, Matt works as in-house counsel for a local technology company, but spends every chance he gets with Abigail and Edith or experimenting in the kitchen. Matt regularly attends both the 9:00 a.m. and the 11:00 a.m. services.
