Misha Cornes

Misha Cornes joined St. Mary’s in 2023. Raised in the Anglican tradition in London, Misha was drawn to St. Mary’s through family connections within the Episcopal Church while looking for a parish community that could support the faith formation of his children. He and his wife, Susannah, have been deeply grateful for the warmth of the St. Mary’s community and the strength of its children’s and youth programs. All three of their children are active choristers, with the older two also serving as acolytes and participating in youth group, while Susannah serves as a chalice bearer. The ease with which their family has been welcomed into parish life has been a profound gift.

Professionally, Misha works in user research and product strategy in the field of artificial intelligence, helping teams build trustworthy technologies by understanding how people interact with complex systems. He has led research teams in technology companies and brings experience in collaborative, data-informed decision making, building consensus, and helping organizations navigate complex choices over time.

At St. Mary’s, Misha has served on the Property Revenue Initiative Committee, helping evaluate options to support the parish’s financial sustainability while remaining aligned with its mission and values. He values the quieter rhythms of worship and prayer and is drawn to vestry service as a way to help steward the parish’s long-term vitality, so that St. Mary’s can continue to serve families and future generations.

Born in London to English and Burmese parents, Misha has lived in San Francisco for more than twenty years. Outside of church and work, he enjoys playing guitar and tennis, traveling, and spending time with his family.
