The Rev. Elaina Jo LeGault

Rev. Elaina Jo LeGault joins the St. Mary’s staff after being ordained a priest in June 2026. Prior to completing her second year of field education and diaconate at St. Mary’s, Elaina was a high school theology teacher for seven years. She has a deep passion for religious education, and has taught a wide array of classes including: World Religions; Hebrew & Christian Scripture; Gender, Power, and Ethics; and Mysticism in the Ancient, Medieval, and Modern World. Elaina originally comes from the Roman Catholic tradition and earned her M.Div from the Jesuit School of Theology in 2018. Elaina grew up in South Bend, IN, and earned her B.A in Religious Studies from Loyola University Chicago. Elaina and her wife Jessica met in San Francisco and love spending time with their cat Buster and enjoying all the beautiful nature of the Bay Area.
