The Rev. Kathy Guin is originally from Dallas, Texas and moved to San Francisco in 1985. Here she met and married her husband David through mutual good friends, who still live in the area. Kathy and David lived in the Bay Area for many years, where their children Kelly and Bryan were born. Both of their adult children now live in San Francisco and they will be spending the winter seasons here.
Kathy is a retired Episcopal priest and served as a spiritual director at the National Cathedral and Virginia Theological Seminary, who now lives in Nobleboro, Maine. Previously, she served as the Rector of St Margaret’s, Woodbridge, Virginia, a vibrant diverse church. She received her Masters in Divinity from Virginia Theological Seminary, served on the Committee of Priesthood for the Diocese of Virginia and as the Dean for the Potomac region. She is certified from the Bon Secours Retreat Center Spiritual Direction Program and received Family Systems training through a two-year clergy track program. Currently, she is working to complete another spiritual direction program with a Jungian Mystical Christian tradition framework through the Haden Institute.
