This year marks the 800th anniversary of the death of St. Francis of Assisi, the beloved saint for whom our city is named. To celebrate this Jubilee Year, the Roman Catholic Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption is hosting a rare collection of relics and sacred objects from Assisi, Italy, including relics of St. Francis and items associated with St. Clare.
Join St. Mary’s for a short group pilgrimage to these relics on Sunday, October 25! We’ll meet at St. Mary’s at 1:30 p.m. to travel together by public transit, or you can meet us at the Cathedral at 2 p.m. All are welcome! An RSVP to Rev’d Kira at kira@smvsf.org is encouraged so we know you're coming.
